Welcome to our website. I am the owner and portrait artist of Personal Touch Portrait Studios and I absolutely love what God has allowed me to do in this life.
Back in 1985, I decided to give up my life ambition of becoming a Doctor (much to my wife's surprise) and follow my passion for photography. I read professional journals and studied under many professional photographers learning the art of creating fine art portraits. It is not the equipment that creates a great image, it is the knowledge and creativity of the person behind the camera that truly creates a beautiful and lasting portrait. I continue to study lighting, posing, and production techniques to stay on top of what is happening in this ever changing world of photography. I usually spend about 6 weeks a year attending classes and furthering my education and also give back by teaching on occasion.
I have received my Craftsman of Photography degree from Professional Photographers of America and became a Certified Professional Photographer by passing a very detailed exam covering multiple areas and aspects of photography.
I believe that a beautiful portrait can and should be timeless. Creating memories of those whom we love and work so hard for each and every day is so very important. People run into burning buildings to save their pictures so that they continue to have those memories at their fingertips. Many times, someone dies and it is only then that we realize how important those pictures are to us. It shouldn't be that way, we need to create and keepsake those memories as our children grow, get married, begin their own families, and as we ourselves grow old. Portraits say so much without actually having words at all and touch the hearts of many.
What a great thing for me to be a part of. I want to give each and every person who walks into our studio, my absolute best and offer them an experience that they will remember long after the session is over. Nothing is better than seeing those whom I photographed years ago come back with new members of their family! I want to thank each and every one of you who have added to the joy of my life and I hope that I will continue to serve you and many others for years to come.
Most of all, I give glory, honor and thanks to God for giving me a talent and a love that I have the privilege of working at every day. We are so blessed to be a part of this great community. My wife and I enjoy our family, church and serving in the community and look forward to meeting you.
